Although the platform has been in development since January, the launch of “Threads, an Instagram app” comes after what Elon Musk announced restrictions on the number of tweets you can read on Twitter in a day.

How to install Threads for iPhone or Android
"Threads, an Instagram app” is available on Google Play (Android) and App Store (iPhone). To join the Threads platform, you must have an Instagram account, as this platform requires you to use your Instagram account credentials to log in. Once you open your Instagram Threads account, your Instagram username will carry over, but you can create a customizable profile. However, Meta states that UK users who are under 18 will automatically receive a default private profile.

Download and install the application via Google Play or the App Store. If you can't find Threads in the app store, it's not currently available in your region. At the moment, the application is not available in European Union countries.
