The Samsung Galaxy S will receive neither ICS nor the promised Value Pack Update
We have bad news again for the owners of Samsung Galaxy S: After before Christmas, Samsung announced that the smartphones will not receive upgrade by Android Ice Cream SandwichBecause then recanted and specific announcement as yet receive a Value Pack UpdateDesigned to improve certain Feature Links but by OS current (Android Gingerbread), Today the company has made an announcement that specified that only Galaxy Tab will receive Value Pack update, Galaxy S not having hardware able to support the new version operating system.
Although most of which are equipped with a Samsung Galaxy S will not be too happy after this announcement, there is no attempt to change again Samsung decision, a new petition or a new series of protests being equated only with some lost time. Instead of trying to convince Samsung to make an upgrade that is not of interest to the company, it would be better to try one of Custom ROMs based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich Available to download from XDA.
