HTC is preparing to launch a new mid-range terminal, Desire 620

Although with the launch of the Desire Eye smartphone it was believed that HTC would promote the Desire series in the top range of mobile devices produced by the Taiwanese company, recently this was disproved by an online leak that provided detailed information about the hardware component of a new Desire model, namely the HTC Desire 620.

The details about the future Desire 620 were only available for a few hours on a Bulgarian news site, but this time was enough for the information to spread on the Internet: the terminal will have a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 (higher and with a higher resolution than that of the predecessor Desire 610), quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 2100 mAh battery, 8 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera, dedicated to selfie lovers. Regarding the RAM and internal memory, HTC chose to opt for the same standards used so far in the Desire series, namely 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space.

The HTC Desire 620 will also be equipped with two stereo speakers and a microSD card slot, and the operating system will also run Android 4.4 KitKat, with Lollipop integration being a priority for the One range. At the moment, neither the date on which the terminal will be launched, nor its price or global availability are known.

UPDATE: HTC Desire 620 was officially launched today, November 29, and is available in two variants: one with a 410 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 1.2 processor, and one with a 6592 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT1.7 processor (Desire 620G). Both devices offer dual SIM support. The prices for the two models are $225 for the quad-core version, respectively $160 for the version with MediaTek chip.
