Dark Mode Missing in Facebook App (2022)

From operating systems to applications such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, the "dark mode" interface has proven to be preferred by most users. It seems to be more restful for the eyes, pictures and videos stand out better on the dark interface than on a white one, and the writing is more legible.
Many users complain that starting with May 2022, the dark mode option has disappeared from the options of the Facebook application for iOS and Android. Meta (ex. Facebook Inc) gradually introduced dark mode on all the company's applications. WhatsApp, Instagram si Facebook, starting with 2020. The dark mode option is (or was) available for both Android and iPhone (iOS) users.

The company Meta has not given any explanation so far regarding the deactivation of Dark Mode for the Facebook application, and even if it will come up with an explanation, it will still be a confusing and unfortunate decision. Dark Mode is an interface loved by billions of users, both for browsers and for operating systems and mobile or desktop applications.

I was hoping that it was just a Facebook bug that made the Dark Mode option disappear from iPhone and Android, and that Meta would solve it as soon as possible. Until then, the only option to have Facebook with dark mode is in the browser.
