The Facebook application for iOS receives an update

Facebook has launched a new version of the application for iOS devices running operating systems from the iOS 7.0 range. The update brings with it a new option called Highlights and which can be found in the newly created tab called People. The Highlights option does exactly what its name says, that is, it highlights notable things from the user's profile or the activity of friends and highlights Friend Requests, Life Events or other such things.

So far the section called Requests was renamed People. Here are several sub-options (the People) are displayed all the tabs. However, of these, the most important is Highlights for, besides those mentioned above, can also display user friend requests which either forgot or did not know existed. Further, all Hightlights displays birthdays of friends and events that took place, people who came in contact user and people the user may know them.

Most likely, the idea behind these changes is the fragmentation of the News Feed so that the user can navigate faster through the news that interests him, without having to come across irrelevant content. For now, it remains to be seen if the changes will be definitive and will even reach all users of the social network.
